Adkins was speaking after Saints` impressive 4-1 victory over promotion rivals Huddersfield, which was watched by Reds director of football strategy Damien Comolli who was responsible for taking Gareth Bale from Saints to Tottenham in his previous role at White Hart Lane.
Highly-rated Chamberlain, 17, enjoyed another fantastic display, grabbing the hosts` second goal of the afternoon after Rickie Lambert had cancelled out Lee Novak`s opener for the Terriers.
His form this term has attracted plenty of top-flight attention, but Adkins insists: "We are not looking to let Alex go.
"I didn't know he (Comolli) was here but we will not start talking about all our players having a price, or putting a price on players heads, we want to keep this squad together."
He added: "January is coming and that brings with it the usual debate about who will be coming to the club and who we want to be staying and who should not be leaving. But we have served a bit of notice about Southampton Football Club on the pitch here."
