Charlton Rule Out Beattie Bid

The Addicks have been rumoured to be interested in trying to lure the England striker away from St Mary's come the opening of the transfer window at the beginning of next year but Curbishley thinks Beattie is out of his price-range.

"We haven't spent all our money," the Charlton boss told his clubs official website.

"There is still money there to be spent in January but it won't stretch as far as someone like Beattie."
