The Saints defender has been sidelined since the beginning of September, after sustaining a serious head injury in an incident outside a Southampton nightclub.
Seaborne – whose condition was initially described by police as “potentially life threatening” – was hospitalised for more than a week, before being discharged to continue his recuperation at home.
Sources close to the player have indicated that the 24-year-old centre half has made encouraging progress in the last two months, and is now desperate to return to action.
Before he can do that, doctors will conduct what will hopefully be a final head scan in the coming weeks.
If Seaborne is given the all-clear at that stage, it should pave the way for him to begin training with Saints again and start on the road back towards the first team.
