Delap ruled out of United clash

An ultrasound scan has revealed that Delap has a minor strain which will sideline him for the visit of United and could possibly rule him out of Wednesday's FA Cup fourth round replay at Millwall also.

"Rory won't be fit which is a big blow so our resources are a bit stretched at the moment, manager Gordon Strachan told www.saintsfc.co.uk

"We have five good players out so that becomes a problem. we are not bad when we are all fit so I don't want to bring in players simply to make up the numbers. That would not be right.

"This is the sort of time when we might have given some youngsters a chance but there are none ready for the first-team just at the moment."
