"Up to a week ago I was still getting pain but suddenly it has started to improve and this is the best it has felt for a long time.
"I have been running every day for the last five or six weeks which is not a lot of fun but it has kept my fitness levels up.
"I have done a bit of ball work and some checking and a few one-on-ones but no real contact stuff and I cannot wait to get back to full training.
"Hopefully I will be ready for some sort of training next week."
