Jose Fonte admitted Southampton's defeat to Huddersfield was a "bad day at the office" and vowed to make amends when Oldham visit St Mary's next weekend. First-half efforts from Anthony Pilkington and Joey Gudjonsson condemned Saints to their first defeat in five games, with the visitors looking unsteady at the Galpharm Stadium. Nigel Adkins' side attempted a second-half comeback but were thwarted by a resilient Terriers, although centre-back Fonte promised the performance was a mere blip in their League One tilt. "It was a bad day at the office and we have to make sure next weekend we win again," he told Press Association Sport "This team has a lot of character. You can't win every game but obviously we want to do that. "It wasn't a good day but next Saturday we'll make sure we give a 110% to win it."
