New signing Frazer Richardson is relishing the chance to be part of Southampton's squad in the 2010/11 npower League One campaign. The defender recently signed a three-year deal at St Mary's after joining for an undisclosed fee from Charlton. Richardson, who is set to join his new team-mates on a 10-day trip to Switzerland later this week, has high ambitions for his career with the Saints following talks with manager Alan Pardew and chairman Nicola Cortese. "I spoke with the manager and then sat down with the chairman to get everything sorted which was all very positive," he told the club's official website. "We're obviously looking to a bright and positive future here, and after coming out of administration there was a successful season which we now have to build on." He added: "Southampton teams are always attacking minded and I'm sure we'll be the same again this season, and that suits my game down to the ground so I'm really looking forward to playing with the quality players that are already here. "We want to build for the future here and hopefully I'm seen as one of those players who can play with us at a higher level."
