Marsden may need op

The midfielder suffered a recurrence of the problem during Saints recent pre-season training sessions in Scotland and was forced to return home early from the pre-season tour of Sweden still suffering pain in the knee.

Marsden will now seek specialist advice to see if the injury needs surgery.
