Nathan Jones has finalised terms with Southampton to become their new manager, sources have confirmed to 90min.
Jones emerged as Southampton's first choice on Sunday following the sacking of Ralph Hasenhuttl, and the club were quick to agree terms with Luton Town.
Now following his final game in charge of Luton on Tuesday, Jones has finalised the terms of what will be a long-term contract at St Mary's. The 49-year-old will be joined on the south coast by Chris Cohen and Alan Sheehan, with both finalising their own departures from Kenilworth Road.
90min understands that Jones was present for the Saints' Carabao Cup win over League One outfit Sheffield Wednesday, and will be confirmed in his new post on Thursday.
Jones' first task will be to oversee the weekend's Premier League clash with Liverpool, but he'll then have an extended period of time to get to grips with his new surroundings. There will be a six-week break for the World Cup, which should allow the former Stoke boss to get across his ideas to players who won't be jetting off to Qatar.
His arrival at Southampton follows two impressive spells at Luton. Jones led the club to back-to-back promotions before departing for Stoke, only to return to the club after his spell at the Potters failed to work out.
Luton reached the Championship play-off semi-finals last year, and have again been in good touch this season.
