Should either of the duo, who were both signed by Pardew during his time in charge of the Addicks, be forced to miss out then current boss Phil Parkinson will have to change his starting XI for the first time this season.
Parkinson, who was Pardew's assistant before taking the reins himself, has named the same line-up six times in the league and been rewarded with six straight wins.
Grant Basey, Scott Wagstaff and recent signing Luke Holden are on stand-by to fill in.
Midfielder Dean Sinclair remains the only definite absentee with a knee injury.
Pardew is set to add Papa Waigo N'diaye, Radhi Jaidi, Lee Holmes and Marek Saganowski to his squad.
Senegalese striker N'diaye, Pardew's recent loan signing from Fiorentina, and former Bolton and Birmingham defender Jaidi have both finally received international clearance and are in line to make their debuts.
Injury-hit winger Holmes played for the reserves this week after recovering from a groin problem, while Saganowski returns in attack following international duty with Poland.
But veteran full-back Graeme Murty is still missing with a knee injury.
Pardew heads back to The Valley for the first time since leaving the Addicks last November after two years in charge.
