Strachan praise for Davies

Davies, who earlier this season played six games on loan at Millwall, came off the bench to score a last gasp equaliser for the Saints with the visitors leading through a Steve Claridge goal.

Strachan said: "Kevin is a lovely lad and a good example of how you can achieve something with hard work.

"He played for the reserves on Tuesday and his work-rate was fantastic, and he scored a goal, so his efforts earned him a place on the bench today."
