"The last ten games of the season always fly by so before I know it the game will be upon me.
"I just hope I am fit enough to play in it. It would not be a lot of fun if I was injured again. That would be just my luck.
"At the moment I feel good and would love to force my way back into the first team before the end of the season although that will be tough as they are going so well."
Le Tissier once again hinted that the testimonial may be last last game before retirement. Matt said:
"I don't know what the future holds at the moment but if I do not play here then I will not play anywhere else.
"I have not heard anything about a new contract and I would not really expect anything will be done now until the end of the season.
"I don't want to talk too much about the future because it is all a bit up in the air. I would love to stay but only if I am going to be able to stay fit and be able to play. It has been an incredibly frustrating time."
