Starting line-up

Michael Poke - 4: He was at fault for the first, however his defence let him down at times. The fact he was playing with a foot injury sustained in the warm up clearly hampered his performance, although he did make a couple of fine saves to keep the score line from further embarrassment. He limped off early from the warm up and perhaps shouldn't have played. He didn't stand much of a chance with the second, third and forth goals conceded and although getting a strong hand to it he could not keep out the fifth.

Alexander Oslund - 5: Jesus was not at his best after a lengthy absence from the team. Committed as ever in defence but simply not good enough overall, he struggled to link up with Licka going forward down the right.

Gregory Vignal - 4: Very poor today, it was a shame we didn't get a penalty to boost his performance! He lost it in the crazy couple of minutes that put the game out of our hands just after the break.

Darren Powell - 4: Very off the pace today and not a good performance. Fraizer Campbell's lively movement and pace caused him problems all afternoon. He did show some committed tackling, but often his clearances and distribution weren't good enough. Overall a very bad day at the office.

Wayne Thomas - 6, Man of the Match: The best of a bad bunch really, he tried his hardest and made some important tackles and interceptions at times but again was troubled by energetic Fraizer Campbell.

Mario Licka (off for Gillet 61 mins) - 5: Never really got going today and into the game him and Oslund struggled to link up down the right flank. He didn't have a chance to show his recent excellent delivery from corners with a solitary corner kick all afternoon.

Jason Euell - 5:
Not in his natural position on the left of midfield, he didn't provide the team with much width but he battled gamely. His passing still wasn't up to scratch, although he was unlucky not to grab a consolation late on when his powerful drive was well saved by Myhill.

Youseff Safri - 5: A very poor performance by his standards, the midfield battle was well and truly lost today. He often pondered too long on the ball and was caught in possession a couple of times, not doing the back four any favours.

Jhon Viafara - 6: Battled hard today but was let down by those around him. No lack of commitment in defence but not an attacking threat. He was harshly booked for persistent dissent after numerous decisions went against Saints, a number of which the referee clearly got wrong.

David Mcgoldrick (subbed half time for Pericard) - 4: For a youngster he strangely lacked pace today and often looked like his heart wasn't in it, when surely he should be chomping at the bit to take his chance. He didn't see much of the ball though and apart from the pass for the goal ruled out for offside failed to link up with Stern John.

Stern John (off for Wright 69 mins) - 4: Very disappointing today. Had a great chance to level things up at one nil, but his effort lacked power and was too close to Myhill. Subbed for Jermaine Wright as Saints turned to damage limitation.

Subs

Vincent Pericard (on for McGoldrick half time) - 4: Didn't make any impact but a lot of that was down to the team behind him. Looks like he could be a useful target man but when the ball was played to him he had little support. Was left upfront alone after Stern was substituted to fight a losing battle.

Simon Gillet (on for Licka 60) - 4:
Didn't show much, was given a run out after the game seemed lost. Needs to prove he is worth a new contract.

Jermaine Wright (on for John 69) - 5: Came on the help shore up the midfield after the fourth went in. Looked OK and passed the ball well but the game was long gone by that point.
